My review of Seoul Restaurant is online at TheCoast.ca, and features mention of naeng myeon. I can’t recommend this dish enough. Cool and refreshing, mild and slightly tart, it was really the perfect summer dish. The broth alone is worthy of praise. With the weather the way it has been lately (hot and hot and muggy and hot), it’s a really nice way to cool down from the inside out.
I have been really impressed with the new spate of Korean restaurants that have opened in Halifax. I can’t think of a bad meal I’ve had at any of them. But for me, this dish just takes the cake.
